WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CUSTOM, MADE-TO-MEASURE, AND BESPOKE?
Custom
Customizing a suit, jacket, or shirt involves choosing options that go beyond standard "off the rack" offerings. This allows for personalized details and a unique fit, catering to individual preferences and styles. The term is often used when someone seeks a garment specifically made for them.
Made-to-Measure
Made-to-measure is a type of customization where a tailor or clothier uses a pre-existing block pattern and modifies it within certain allowances to better fit the client's measurements. While there are some limitations in terms of adjustments and posture corrections, this option provides a more personalized fit compared to standard off-the-rack clothing. Clients can also select from a variety of styling options, including buttons, linings, contrast stitching, lapels, and pocket treatments.
Bespoke
Our Bespoke custom suits are meticulously crafted for each client based on precise measurements. The process begins with a detailed fitting that considers factors like posture, where the suit will be worn, and individual preferences. A unique pattern is then created for each customer. We produce a skeleton (muslin) suit with a delivery time of approximately four weeks, followed by an assessment and necessary adjustments that take an additional four to five weeks. The final suits undergo rigorous quality checks before being delivered promptly. These garments are distinguished by over 40 hours of artisan craftsmanship, ensuring exceptional quality and attention to detail.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FROM START TO FINISH?
Bespoke
First fitting appointment takes roughly 90 minutes from fabric and styling selection to fitting. Skeleton or first fitting garments take roughly 4 weeks to receive. After this fitting, expect a turn time of roughly 4 weeks to finish the garment(s). If there are any minor alterations needed at final delivery, Kamran Bespoke covers this cost with an additional week turn time added.
DO YOU SELL WOMEN'S CUSTOM SUITING?
Yes! We offer custom women’s suits, blazers, dress pants, skirts, blouses/shirts, and tuxedos.
HOW DO I CREATE CUSTOM LINING?
At Kamran Bespoke, we specialize in creating custom liners for the inside of jackets. We have created numerous custom linings for corporate clients, semi-professional athletes, and grooms. The process is simple! If you can imagine it, we can print it. We would gather the photos, logos or graphics and create a mock preview of your vision. Once the mock is confirmed, we proceed with creating the lining and ultimately stitching it in your jacket.
There is a $200 adder to select this option.

DO YOU EVER WORK WITH PEOPLE NOT LOCATED IN THE HOUSTON AREA?
We have worked with clients all over the United States and some in different countries. Our main servicing location is the surrounding Houston cities, but we are able to travel anywhere. Occasionally we travel for corporate fittings and group orders.
CAN I PROVIDE A PARTIAL PAYMENT TO GET STARTED?
Unfortunately not! We require full payment to get started on the order.
DO YOU HAVE AN ONLINE CATALOG OR A WAY FOR ME TO SEE EXAMPLES OF YOUR WORK?
We have an ever-changing collection of fabric books that are constantly being added to with each new season. Because of this, we do not have an online catalog to view fabric selections. If you’d like to see samples of our work, please follow Kamran Bespoke on Instagram.
CAN YOU ALTER MY OLD SUITS THAT WERE PURCHASED FROM ELSEWHERE?
At this time, we do not accept outside clothing to be altered. To meet our customer delivery times and expectations, we are only doing alterations for clothing made in-house at Kamran Bespoke.
